It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. Emmi-pet protects your pet from oral disease and tooth loss.
A regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine is the best way to protect your pet's dental health. As humans we clean our teeth twice a day - why do we never clean our pets' teeth? Using Emmi-pet with ultrasound to effectively remove plaque and freshen breath.
The specially formulated ultrasound toothpaste, which is suitable for animals, cleans teeth and gums to prevent the build up of plaque and tartar. Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria, at the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to heal wounds and stop bleeding.
If you do not clean your dog's teeth you typically end up having to go to a Vet and pay a lot of money while he/she gets a full anaesthetic and a massive, costly dental overhaul.
Emmi-pet effectively combats:
• Gingivitis and periodontitis
• Oral cavity diseases
• Plaque and tartar build up
• Bad breath
We are offering two packages in the salon. In both options we recommend a home routine to help withhold pets’ dental hygiene.
Package 1
This treatment is for dogs that already have some tartar build up and require an intensive course to heal gums and promote cleaner teeth. This treatment will require a minimum of 10 visits over a 2 week period. Each visit will last approximately 25/30 mins. Each dog will receive their own toothbrush head, included in the price. This will need replacing after approx. 25 uses. (Unless damaged) In some cases, additional weekly visits may be necessary to remove stubborn build up. Cost for the 2 week treatment is £150 . We may request that you have you dog’s teeth checked for soundness at your vet prior to commencing this treatment. Each subsequent toothbrush required is charged at £8.
Package 2
This treatment is for maintenance of your dogs’ mouth and is ideally suited to dogs that do not have tartar build up or have recently had a full dental treatment. Each visit will last approximately 20 mins. Each dog will have their own toothbrush head and this will need replacing after every 25 visits (unless damaged). For optimum results, it is recommended to have an ultrasound dental treatment weekly to maintain your dog’s oral health. Less frequent visits are likely to be less effective. First appointment (including purchase of the initial toothbrush) costs £30 and each subsequent appointment is £15 thereafter. Each subsequent toothbrush required is charged at £8.
